Ronald Bryan Patton, age 79, of Dallas, Texas passed away Friday morning, July 12, 2013 at Medical City Dallas surrounded by his family. Born July 28, 1933, in Cleburne, Texas, he was the son of the late Jennings Bryan Patton and Alma Bernice Clark Patton. Ron attended school in Mexia, Texas. After graduation from high school, he attended Sam Houston State College. After a brief time at college, he joined the United States Marine Corp and served his country for 8 years. After leaving the Marine Corp, he attended The University of Texas at Austin and graduated with an electrical engineering degree. He had a long career in the electronics industry and later became a salesman. In his spare time, he also enjoyed playing golf, tennis, and earned a black belt in martial arts. He is survived by his partner of 21 years, Colleen Wirt, along with two children; Mark of Norman, Oklahoma and Kendall of Dallas, Texas, and grandson, Bryan Cole of Kingston, Oklahoma. Funeral services for Ronald will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, July 29, 2013 at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery on 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211. A memorial service will be held at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church on 9200 Inwood Road, Dallas, Texas, 75220 at 11:00 AM., following the DFW National Cemetery.
