Obituary

LOIS COURSON PEARSON, age 84, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2014. Born as Linna Lois Johnson, in Dallas, Texas, on May 5, 1930 to Leslie and Lois Johnson, she was an only child and adored by her parents. She grew up in University Park where she attended Highland Park High School and Highland Park Methodist Church. She made and maintained lifelong friendships from schools, church and adulthood. She attended The University of Texas where she studied Home Economics and met Edwin "Ed" Courson. They married in Oct 1950 and had five children. Lois was a stay at home mother and loving wife. She was known for her love and devotion of family, friends and animals. Her enthusiasm, loving spirit and words of wisdom affected all of those around her. She enjoyed skiing, camping, traveling and the family lake house. Lois loved music, dancing, reading, decorating, cooking and UT football games. Lois also enjoyed a host of group activities with girlfriends including book and movie clubs and luncheons. After Ed's passing, Lois married William "Bill" Pearson in Feb 2005. They were married for 7 wonderful years where they enjoyed a loving and tender relationship and enjoyed their life with family and friends. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Doug Courson and wife Sheila, John Courson and wife Sandra, Mark Courson and wife Teresa, Rusty Courson, Linda Carter and husband Dave, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Lois' celebration of life will be held Monday, Oct 6, 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church of Dallas, 408 Park Ave., 75201.
