Michael Drake Pevey of Longview, Texas, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his children on May 2, 2019. He leaves his mother, Sue Pevey, his sister, Jan Mayfield, his children, Amber Preston, Dustin Pevey, and Shannon Rajoelina; his two grandchildren, Lola and Jasper; and many close family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Burt Pevey. Born in Longview, Michael lived in a few different cities around Texas before settling back in East Texas. In his early years, Mr. Pevey worked for the family business, McDowell Electric. After acquiring his Texas Master Electrical License, he opened his own business, PV Electric from which he retired last year. Mr. Pevey had a passion for golfing, fishing, watching baseball, riding motorcycles, and spending leisurely days around the lake with his family. He was also a dog lover and shared his home with many furry friends over the years. A celebration of life memorial gathering will be held on May 11 with a private burial.
