Donna Sue Pietens, age 70, of Irving passed away peacefully at home on June 18, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. Donna was born in Hampshire County, West Virginia. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who never met a stranger, opening her home and heart to all who knew her. She loved the outdoors, spending time gardening with her husband, and camping, and fishing with her family. She is survived by her spouse of over 50 years, Harry "Pete" Pietens, and five grown children, Son Jay and his wife, Sylvie, daughter Kathy, Son Danny and his wife Sandy, Son Harry Jr and his partner Charles, and daughter Debrah, eight grand-children and one great grand-child. Counted among family are also Tuyet Kim Lam, her husband and Nung Tran and their four children. They were neighbors and the closest of friends, whom Donna considered to be her second family.
