Born on April 6, 1951 in Moorhead, MN to Edwin and Geneva Plummer. Richard passed away on September 25, 2014 in Dallas, TX from Lewy Body Dementia.
He attended Moorhead State University and went on to a career in outside sales in packaging and paper products. He retired in 2008 from Landsberg. Richard spent his life trying to make people happy.
He was happiest when he could make people laugh and knew they were having a good time. His love of music began as a child and remained something he cherished to the end. He couldnt get too much of the music popular in the 60s and 70s!
Baseball was one of Richards passions every summer. He played baseball as a child and young man, and remained an avid watcher throughout his life. Many travels were scheduled around the opportunity to watch a professional game and he made it to many of the stadiums across the U.S. His love of travel took him and his wife to numerous parts of the country and he made friends with those he met on the way. Sometimes travel plans were split between what he could see and what new foods he could taste.
Richard knew how to enjoy life and made us all happy to be a part of his.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Plummer. He is survived by his wife, Jean of Dallas, TX; mother, Geneva Plummer of Moorhead, MN; sister, Gail Plummer of Mapleton, ND; brother, Kevin Plummer of Paducah, KY; stepdaughter, Tanya Edwards of Minneapolis, MN; and many extended family members and friends.
