Joan was born in Paris, Texas, January 10, 1950 to Sammie J. and Joe R. Ausmus. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Ponzio, her daughter Amanda Harris Bourgeois , her mother, father, sister Dale Ausmus Vickery and brother Joe D. Ausmus,. Joan is survived by her daughter Rachael Harris Hatch, husband Garrett Hatch and two granddaughters Carolina and Audrey Hatch, sister Sammie Ausmus Walker, brother, Russell Ausmus, and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.

A celebration of life will be held on on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. The First Presbyterian Church 310 S. W. 3rd St. Grand Prairie, Texas In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any animal shelter of your choice.
