Obituary

James David Pritchett born December 20, 1936 died on January 28, 2015 in Plano, TX. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and friend. James is preceded in death by his sisters Gina and Janet. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Joan, son Paul and daughter-in-law Deirdre, daughter Fiona Fischer and son-in-law Mark Fischer; grandchildren William Fischer and Karen Fischer; brother Gerald and sister-in-law Barbara of Canterbury, brother John and sister-in-law Margaret of Tasmania; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Eric and Anne Lynch of Alabama and many nieces, nephews and friends. James was born outside of London, the third of five children. He served in the Royal Air Force before starting a long career in automobiles. He was a true car enthusiast and passed that love to his children and grandchildren. He loved to play many sports including rugby, cricket, soccer and tennis. Sailing and photography were also favorite hobbies. Little known to others, he was a writer of poetry and a painter. He was an active member of Central Lutheran Church. We will miss his smile and sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by those lives he touched. A Memorial service celebrating his life will be held at Central Lutheran Church on Thursday, February 12th at 10:30 am. Reception immediately following at the church. Our heartfelt thanks to the caring staff of Mission Ridge Residential Care Center who took such wonderful care of James. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Central Lutheran Church, 1000 Easton Rd., Dallas, TX 75218.
