Randy Kirk Risinger
July 10, 1949 – April 4, 2025
Randy Kirk Risinger, 75, passed away peacefully at his home in Carrollton, Texas on Friday, April 4th, 2025.
Randy was born in Clarksville, Texas, on July 10th, 1949, to Emogene (Jean) Payne Risinger Everroad and Samuel (Sam) Raymond Risinger.
He graduated from Weatherford High School, Class of '67 and went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Wesleyan College. He chose a college close to home after his father passed away unexpectedly. Randy began his banking career at Metro Bank in Dallas TX, then moved on and became President and CEO of Heritage National Bank in Richardson. At the end of his working career, Randy enjoyed being an antique dealer in the North Dallas area.
Randy married Sammye Phillips on April 22,1980. They have spent nearly 45 loving years together. His greatest joy was his daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren who were the purpose of his life. He loved them so much and they loved and respected him. Randy was loved and respected by all who knew him. He had a heart of gold.
He loved watching Westerns, especially John Wayne with his family. He was an avid sports enthusiast – Randy loved reading, golfing, fishing and the great outdoors. He was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks and the Texas Longhorns. He and Sammye have enjoyed many trips over the years, but some of his favorites were of them antiquing together in Round Top, Texas.
Randy was a kind and calming presence no matter the storm. And now in this moment of chaos and uncertainty in the world, there is peace, and he is in heaven.
He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Hebron, TX
Our Randy will be greatly missed! We love you, Randy.
The family wants to acknowledge Randy's precious life-long friends, and we would like to thank the many extended family members, church members and loving new friends and caretakers who assisted him, including Dr. Jun Chen for their comfort and support during Randy's long illness.
