Raymond Kevin O'Keefe passed away on April 27, 2026, at his home in Little Elm, Texas, with his loved ones at his side. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on January 24, 1941, to Leroy O'Keefe and Ethel (McNerny) O'Keefe. He was preceded in death by his five siblings: Maureen O'Keefe, Joan (O'Keefe) King, George O'Keefe, Thomas O'Keefe, Robert O'Keefe, and his beloved Aunt Agnes McNerny. He attended Regis College, in Denver; however, he graduated with a bachelor's degree in economics from Loyola University, in Chicago. Kevin had a fulfilling career as a furniture manufacturing representative. In 1994, he was named salesman of the year, for the Kentucky Home Furnishings Association. Later, Kevin served as the Director of the National Association of Furniture Representatives and then as President of the Kentucky Home Furnishings Representatives Association. He retired in 2003. As a result of his job, Kevin acquired and maintained friends from the east coast to the west coast.
Kevin was a proud Marine. He served in the reserves from 1963 until his Honorable Discharge in 1969.
Kevin was a competitive tennis player. The team he was on won six state championships, at various levels. Being competitive was Kevin's nature. He loved playing poker with his buddies, playing community softball (mainly being the ball boy) in Florida, or any competitive game.
Kevin had many close friends from elementary school all the way through college. He never met a stranger. People who met him immediately bonded with him. He will be sorely missed by all.
