Raymond Joseph Oppel

Ray was born to Joseph and Josephine Oppel in Wichita Falls, TX on February 8, 1957 and passed away June 6, 2024 in Dallas as a result of complications from his recent lung cancer in diagnosis.

An accomplished businessman, Ray spent the majority of his career in home building, and developed a reputation for being fair, honest, and holding a high standard. He was known by all who worked with him for treating others with dignity and respect. He built a life full of adventure and cared deeply for those around him.

He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and two older brothers William and James.

Ray is survived by his younger brother Jack, wife of 49 years Susan, son Ryan and his wife Rachelle, grandchildren Elliot and Jo, daughter Renee and her husband Matthew.

The family will be holding a private ceremony and a public celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the Oppel family requests the money be spent to take a loved one out to dinner and tip your server well.
