The gates of heaven opened in the early hours of March 14, 2017 to welcome a new citizen of the kingdom. Gloria Lee Bradford Reynolds, mother, grandmother, wife, aunt, sister, and friend, is home and at peace. She was born to A.L. and Esther Pearl Bradford in Mineral Springs, Arkansas on January 25, 1927. Her younger brother whom she adored followed 17 months later. The family moved to Oak Cliff 1933 where Gloria developed a lifelong love for that part of Dallas. Gloria graduated from Sunset High School in 1944 & began working for the City of Dallas Water Department. In 1945 a dashing young soldier named Roy Reynolds returned from Europe & they began a whirlwind courtship that lasted one week. At the end of that week she was presented with an engagement ring & they were married in September of 1945. That union lasted 70 years; ending when Roy passed away in 2015. Gloria was blessed with two children; a daughter, Judy, and son, Rick. She was employed by the Internal Revenue Service from 1962 until her retirement. Gloria leaves behind to cherish her memory daughter, Judy, son, Rick and wife Cyndi, grandson, Austin Reynolds (Jennifer), and granddaughter, Lauren Turnham (Adrian), brother, Wallace Bradford, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Gloria Lee Reynolds will be laid to rest with her late husband at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery on Friday, March 17, 2017.
