Joe Lane Rhodes came into this world April 14,1939. He left this world peacefully November 1, 2013. Joe was the only son of Lillian Gylah Rhodes and Cletus A. Rhodes. He grew up in Mesquite Texas and graduated from Mesquite High School. Joe spent his adult life as a hard working, dedicated Construction Superintendent. He was an avid member of the Corvette Club of Texas for many years and had a special place in his heart for his 1957 Corvette. He was a big fan of NASCAR and football, which provided him much entertainment. He is survived by and remembered by his daughter, Sherry Diana Christopher, his son, Dustin Bradley Rhodes and his daughter, Kimberly Rhodes Dwyer; his grandchildren, Lanie Celeste Christopher, Morgan Ann Dwyer and Marcus Boyd Dwyer; and his great grandchild, Bentley Cole Bergman. He will be remembered for his fun loving personality and will be missed as a father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. Love you always!
