Richard grew up in Virginia and started working hard at an early age with paper routes, mowing lawns and summers working at the marina. After working retail in college, he moved in the mid 1970s to Ohio where he helped his father open a Tiffany’s bakery, which is still a successful family run business today. In the late 1970s he moved to Dallas and soon thereafter followed a natural path and started his own business, Archive Supplies. Archive has now become one of the country’s largest and most successful partners in their field and after 37 years is thriving. Many of Archive’s employees and clients have been with the company several decades, a testimony to Richard’s leadership. When he decided it was time to take a step back in running the company, he chose Courtney to lead and Archive Supplies continues to expand its influence nationwide. Richard is survived by his brothers Bruce and Steve and their families, and by his loving companion, Marcia. Richard will be dearly missed by those who knew and were inspired by him.
