Obituary

Richard Jeffrey "Jeff" Harlow, 51 December 10, 1972 - December 19, 2023 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Jeffrey "Jeff" Harlow, a devoted family man, accomplished professional, and cherished friend. Jeff, born on December 10, 1972, passed away on December 19, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and enduring camaraderie. Jeffs journey began in Midlothian, Virginia, where he graduated from Midlothian High School in 1990. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1995 where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. His academic achievements laid the foundation for a remarkable career that spanned 28 years at Texas Instruments, where he ascended to become Director of Sales and Applications of The Americas. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jeff was first and foremost a family man. He was a dedicated father to his children, Anna and Will, and a loving husband to his wife, Terri. Jeff's beloved companion, Beamer, will miss his buddy dearly. His commitment to family was unwavering, and his presence brought warmth and joy to their lives. Jeffs parents, Richard William "Dick" Harlow and Katherine Clark "Kay" Harlow, and his sister, Julie Katherine Harlow, recall how his love for baseball traced back to his early days in Little League in Virginia, where he was most proud of hitting four back-to-back home runs in the 11-year-old All-Star Little League baseball game. Outside of work and family, Jeff found solace and joy in his hobbies. An avid fisherman, he was part of a close fishing group, The Musky Hunters, that shared countless adventures on the water fishing throughout the years in Canada and Mexico. His passion for golf was evident in the camaraderie he built as a founding member of The Slackers in Cary, North Carolina. He supported Anna's and Will's Stevenson High School sports activities, including his service for three years as President of the Stevenson High School Hockey Association. Finally, Jeff's love of cooking and grilling were enjoyed by many. Jeff was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Katherine Martin Clark and Robert William Clark, and by his Aunt Constance Nada Bucher and Uncle Robert William "Bob" Clark Jr. Jeff was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joyce Davis Harlow and Harry Payne Harlow, and by his Aunt Ann Harlow Woolard. Finally, Jeff was preceded in death by his beloved dogs, Bailey and Sadie. Jeffs departure leaves a void in the lives of those who knew him, but his memory will endure through the love, laughter and technology knowledge he shared. As we mourn his passing, let us celebrate the life of a man who touched the hearts of many and left an indelible mark on the world around him. May he rest in peace. A private celebration of life is being held in Virginia by the family. To view Jeffs remembrance page please click link: https://my.gather.app/remember/richard-harlow
