Richard Alan Webber Sr., aged 91, passed away in Dallas, Texas on March 18, 2026.
Born on August 11, 1934, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Richard graduated from Little Rock High School in 1952 and joined the United States Marine Corps later in 1952. After Serving in Guam and the Philippines, he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Arkansas, in Fayetteville, Arkansas in 1957. Richard was the owner of Capital Steel Company and Webber Incorporated. In 2002, Richard moved to Dallas, Texas to be near his grandson. Upon moving to Dallas, Richard became active with his church, Park Cities Baptist Church. He dedicated many hours to volunteering at Cornerstone Church in South Dallas, working to feed the homeless at the Cornerstone Cafe. In 2008 he solicited funds and donated building materials to construct a shower building on the Cornerstone Campus. It provides the homeless community with 19 private showers and includes laundry and storage for clean clothes.
Richard is survived by a son, Richard Alan Webber, Jr., of Austin, Texas, a daughter, Tracy Lee Short of Dallas, Texas and a grandson, Ronald Gordon Short also of Dallas, Texas. He is also survived by two nieces, Brenda Webber Swift, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee and Vicki Webber Winkler of Little Rock, Arkansas and two nephews, Alvin E. Webber III of Little Rock, Arkansas and Micheal Ort of Milan, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his Father, Alvin E. Webber Sr., his mother, Ethel Jo Webber, his brother Alvin E. Webber Jr., and his sister Carolyn Sue Webber.
A Memorial / Celebration of life service will be held at Park Cities Baptist Church in the Chapel in April 2026.
Memorial Service / Interment of his remains in at Roselawn Cemetery in Little Rock, Arkansas at will be held in April 2026.
