Richard R. (Dick) Steudtner, 88, was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 15, 1938 to Richard E. Steudtner and Ruth I. Steudtner. They moved to Wichita, Kansas where he grew up and attended High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Kansas State in 1961 and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Kansas State in 1962. He married Joan D. (Lyttle) Steudtner on September 9, 1962. Dick worked at Texas Instruments from 1967 – 2000. He was actively involved in Fellowship Bible Church. Dick and Joan moved to Highland Springs, a retirement community, in 2006. Dick loved his family, church, his dogs, gardening, and reading.

Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Joan D. Steudtner and his parents. He leaves behind his children: Todd and his wife, Michelle, of Plano, Texas; Blake and his wife, Debbie, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Barry and his wife, Darlene, of McCordsville, Indiana. He is also lovingly remembered by his four grandchildren—Lindsay (Brett) Hustead, Abby (Bradley) Jury, Lauren Steudtner, and Treston Swann Steudtner—as well as his sister, Cherly Detwiler.

Services will be held at St. Andrew Methodist Church in the Hasley Chapel on Thursday, November 12 at 10:00 am. The church is located at 5801 West Plano Parkway, Plano, Texas 75093. Memorial contributions are welcome at the Warren Center (thewarrencenter.org).
