Born on June 14, 1944, in Hackensack, New Jersey, he graduated high school from Paramus High School and received a degree in German from Rutgers University. A year later, he moved to Texas, where he lived in Grand Prairie and Irving for most of his life with his wife, Mary Lou. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, Terrence, Kalyn, Karley, Kris, Lauren, Katarina, Aaron, Camryn, Jessica, Chloe, Mikayla, and his 10 great-grandchildren. Bob was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Irving, Texas, for 40 years, serving as an elder and Sunday school teacher. He was also a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church from 2015 until he passed away. He served on the council and was also a worship assistant. He truly enjoyed his Sunday readings to the church members and loved to share stories about his family and his knowledge of various topics like the Bible and military history.
