Robert Eugene
Rayunas
Jan 4, 1930 — Jun 1, 2026
Robert E. "Bob" Rayunas passed away Monday evening in Farmers Branch, Texas with his loving daughter Vicki by his side, providing comfort and companionship in his final moments. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a simple philosophy that guided his life: "Be Happy."
Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathryn "Kitty" Rayunas; his sons, Michael Rayunas and Vitus John Kelly Rayunas; his son-in-law, George Fink; his daughter-in-law, Karen Rayunas; his parents Vitus Rayunas and Stella (MiMi) Mantvillas; and many cherished relatives and friends.
He is survived by his sister; Carol Hadsall his children; Robert Rayunas, Victoria Fink, and Kristina Selzer (Jeffrey Selzer). He was a proud grandfather to Kathryn
J. Sprangers (Robin Sprangers), Charles W. Fink (Jessica Brody), Jennifer Fink (Neal Johari), Ondrea Rayunas, Stephanie Rayunas, Amber Selzer, and Robert Selzer. He was also blessed with six great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him tremendous pride and joy.
Bob was an incredible man whose presence could light up any room. He had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcome, valued, and entertained. Everyone who knew him enjoyed his company, his sense of humor, and the countless stories he loved to tell from a life well lived. He brought joy wherever he went, and people naturally gravitated toward him.
He was deeply proud of his service in the United States Navy and carried that pride throughout his life. Above all else, Bob loved his wife Kitty and his family with all his heart. His happiest moments were spent surrounded by those he loved.
Bob cherished the traditions that brought his family together. He looked forward to annual family ski trips over New Year's, treasured fishing trips Up North over Memorial Day weekend, and the infamous My Three Sons golf tournaments were all just some of the cherished moments he purposefully created for his family. He also enjoyed spending time on the golf course with his friends from the Lucky Club, sharing laughter, stories, and friendship that lasted for years.
His favorite saying, "Be Happy," was more than just a phrase—it was the way he lived his life and the wish he had for everyone around him. It was a reminder he shared often with family and friends, encouraging them to find joy in life's simple moments and to focus on what truly matters.
Though he will be deeply missed, his love, laughter, stories, and enduring message to "Be Happy" will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Fair winds and following seas, Bob. We love you and will carry your memory with us always.
