Ronald W. Ward

Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Ronald (Ron) Wayne Ward Sr. 80. Passed away Thursday June 20th, 2024, at Golden Acres Living and Rehabilitation, Dallas, Texas.

Born July 29, 1943 in Oberlin, OH. He was the son of the late Albert G. and Lucille (Johnson) Ward. He is preceded in death by his wife Sandra Lee (Huston) Ward and his sister Roberta Lou (Ward) Jones.

He was a Graduate of Albion High School in Albion, PA in 1961. He went on to DeVry Technical in Chicago, IL, where he met and married Sandra.

He is survived by his two children and their spouses: R. Wayne Ward Jr. and Beth Ward of Sherman, Texas, and Kimberly K (Ward) Cassady and Michael Cassady of Mesquite, Texas. He had 8 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren.

He grew up on a farm in Cranesville, PA. He was an accomplished carpenter, building several of the bookshelves for the church that are still in use. He enjoyed helping the youth with servant projects during Confirmation Camp. His love of nature, which includes birds, Eagles were his favorite. He collected all things eagles, pictures, figurines and all other knickknacks.

A memorial service will be held August 3rd, 2024, at 1100am.
