Roy Jefferson Fruen, born on July 29, 1968 in Sherman, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2024 in Plano, Texas. Roy dedicated 39 years of his life to a successful career as a truck driver, a profession he approached with commitment and pride.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Shelly Fruen, with whom he cherished countless moments, from checking on the cows to snuggling with their five Boston Terriers, who brought immense joy to his life.

Roy was the son of Karan Fruen and the late Roy Fruen Sr. He is also survived by his brother, James Fruen, and sister-in-law, Kosha, along with his cherished niece Taylin and nephews Zephen and Joseph. His sister, Melissa LaBonne, and her children, niece Kristina, and nephews Louie, Ernie, and the late Shawn, also hold a special place in his memory. Additionally, Roy leaves behind various great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom will remember him fondly.

Roy's legacy will be remembered through the love he shared with his family, friends, and the animals that filled his life with happiness. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a local animal shelter in honor of Roy's love for pets.
