Ruby Jean Watson, 80, of Gainesville, Texas, passed away on March 27, 2024 in Denison, Texas.  She was born on October 4, 1943 to Willie and Nola Howard in Marietta, Oklahoma.  Ruby met her late husband, Thomas F. Watson, and they married in 1972.  In 1983, she graduated with her licensed vocational nursing degree and spent 30 years caring for patients.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas F. Watson, her parents, Willie and Nola Howard, her brothers, Calvin and Alvin Howard and sister, Imogene Pruitt .  She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Carlisle and husband Brian of Haughton, Louisiana, two grandchildren, Josias and Roxanne, and sisters, Sylvia Barrick of Kermit, Texas and Nancy McMillen of Wilson, Oklahoma.
