Russell Gordon Henderson passed away on December 15, 2023, in Plano, Texas after a short illness. He was 44 years old. Born in Jacksonville, Florida on October 18, 1979, he moved with his family to Richardson, Texas in 1983 and attended Canyon Creek Elementary, Richardson North Junior High, and J.J. Pearce High School. He also studied at Richland College. Russell worked as a commercial construction project manager and later as a logistics specialist and trainer for Amazon. His greatest source of pride was his son, Liam. Russell loved the written word, intelligent comedy, music, good beer, trees and plants, the beach, and being on the water. He was kind to all living beings and fiercely loyal to his family. He is survived by his son, Liam Gordon Henderson of San Antonio; his parents, Chic Gordon and Teresa Bellamy Henderson of Corpus Christi; his sister and brother-in-law, Holly Henderson Barnes and Wendell Barnes of Houston and niece and nephew Mallory Barnes and Brooks Barnes; and by his grandmother, Reba McDonald and aunt Lisa Henderson Villesca of Prairie Grove, Arkansas. His deceased grandparents are Robert F. and Jacqueline Webb Bellamy and Melvin Henderson. A private celebration of Russell's life will be held in Silver Sands, Jamaica his favorite place in the coming weeks.
