Ruth Anne Beachum McGhee, age 75, died at Parkview Assisted Living in Frisco, Texas, on November 17, 2024.

Born February 26, 1949, in Hampton, Virginia, she also lived in Chicagoland, Nashville, and most recently North Dallas. A history major at George Mason University, she worked in retail and real estate until she fully retired in 2021. Ruth was a history buff and an avid golfer, but, having been raised a musician in a household full of musicians, music was her passion, and she was a dedicated Parrothead.

Ruth leaves behind her husband Patrick, her son Patrick Jr. and his wife Diane, her grandchildren Hadley and Dashiell, and her brother Maurice Beachum. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Reeves and Gertrude Beachum, and her sister Peggy Solt.
