Obituary

Sally Ann Wagner (62) of Gainesville, Texas—devoted wife, dutiful daughter, beloved sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend—passed away on March 24, 2025. Sally was born in Pasadena, Texas, on April 6, 1963, to Dick and Jimmie Boyle in Pasadena, Texas. She met and married her loving husband Kurt Wagner in Houston, Texas, in 1996. Throughout her life, Sally's priorities were her faith and her family—she served both well—and her warmth and wit head a lengthy list of endearing qualities.

Following a long career in accounting and finance with David Weekley Homes and The Friedkin Group, Sally moved with Kurt to Gainesville in 2015 for their next chapter. Though this next and final chapter came much earlier than expected, in her retirement Sally did enjoy pursuing her numerous passions: strengthening her faith through Bible Study and active membership at Our Savior Lutheran Church; decorating their home inside and out with tasteful and eclectic treasures; curating a fashionable and well accessorized wardrobe; exploring and perfecting new and adventurous recipes; observing and learning about the birds and butterflies that regularly visit their property; and myriad creative outlets including card making, crafting, and painting in and with varied mediums.

Sally is survived by her adoring husband, Kurt Wagner, of Gainesville, Texas; mother, Jimmie Boyle, of Spring, Texas; sisters Rhonda Boyle (Dale Smith) of Phoenix, Arizona, and Jeannie Boyle of Cypress, Texas; brother, Jim Boyle (Connie) of Bryan, Texas; sisters-in-law Sara Kimmel (Don) and Anna Wagner of Huntington, Indiana; brother-in law Mark Wagner (Patrice) of Huntington, Indiana; faithful friend, Sharlene Kmiec, of Houston, Texas; and cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dick Boyle; her parents-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Richard Wagner; and her grand-niece, Courtney Conner.

Visitation and Services will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church in McKinney, Texas, on Thursday, April 17, 2025. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m. with a Service at 11:00 a.m. Sally will be interred in the Prayer Garden Columbarium at Our Savior Lutheran Church.

The family requests Memorial Donations be made as desired to Bibles for the World (biblesfortheworld.org) whose work was close to Sally's heart.
