Obituary

Sandra ("Sandy") Jean Wilson, 71, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on August 29, 2022. She was born and raised in Staten Island, NY to Woodrow and Gladine Crocker. Upon graduating from Tottenville H.S., she completed schooling at Grace Downs and began working for CBS in Manhattan. Soon after, she married and moved to Dallas, Texas to explore new opportunities and be closer to her sister's family. After settling in as a Texan, Sandy started her career in commercial real estate at Hudson & Hudson while raising her sons. Her commitment to nurturing and supporting her family was unwavering. Sandy's dependable presence could be felt in her community through her active involvement in the PTA, city sports leagues, local scouting groups and her church. Sandy continued to develop her interest in real estate through an extended tenure working for Prentiss Properties. She eventually fulfilled a life goal of becoming a realtor and joined Keller Williams where she was able to incorporate into her career her love for learning and assisting others. Sandy was reputed for going above and beyond for her clients. Over the years, volunteerism remained as important to Sandy as her professional endeavors. Sandy joined and held leadership roles in the service organization Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA) International, whose efforts support childhood illness research, literacy and other causes. Sandy was loving, cheerful, curious, patriotic, loyal and generous. She relished spending time with family celebrating holidays and milestones, cooking for loved ones, traveling, listening to and playing music, reading, crafting and gardening. Being in her home state of New York and at the beach gave Sandy great joy. An adventurous spirit, Sandy found pleasure in new outings and experiences. She was beloved by many, including her Staten Island schoolmates, friends, real estate colleagues, ESA and Messiah Lutheran Church. A dedicated partner, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt, Sandy was predeceased by her parents, sister, Gail, and brother, Richard. She is survived by partner, Clif, children, Peter (Susannah), Erik, granddaughter, Kennedy, cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 5 at 11:00 am at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1801 Plano Pkwy., Plano, TX. The service will be live-streamed and available afterward on the church's YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbv7COiGkhY In lieu of flowers, please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to the Sandra J.
