He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Lee Walters Schuler and one brother. He is survived by his father, James Delbert Schuler of Richardson, Texas; sister, Barbara "Bobbie" Lopez of Maypearl, Texas; sister, Karen Donovan of Allen, Texas; sister, Susan Schuler of Richardson, Texas.
