Tommy went home to be with the Lord on March 13, 2015 after a brief illness. The youngest of seven children, Tommy was born on June 3, 1947 in Clayton, New Mexico, to Marvin and Florence Seaman. Tommy was raised in Stratford, Texas, but moved to Houston in 1966 where he would meet his future wife, Barbara, on April 1, 1966. While living in Houston, Tommy attended San Jacinto College before being drafted into the U.S. Army in 1968. He was sent to Fort Bliss for basic training and AIT and was then going to be stationed in Germany. Once learning that he would be stationed in Germany, Tommy asked Barbara to be his wife. They married on August 26, 1968 while Tommy was on leave. Tommy spent two of his most memorable years with his wife in Germany as newlyweds where they started a family. After Tommy's service ended in 1970, Tommy moved his family to La Porte, Texas. In 2002, Tommy and his wife moved to Lewisville, where they have since retired. Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Florence Seaman and brothers, Larry and Bobby Seaman. He is survived by his best friend, wife of 46 years, and the love of his life, Barbara; daughter and son-in-law, Tanya and John P. Cocking of Cypress, Texas; daughter Debbie Seaman of Lewisville, Texas; grandchildren Samuel L. Seaman, John J. Cocking, and Emma G. Cocking; sister's Gene Garoutte and Ruth Turner; brother Ed Seaman; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 18, 2015 during a visitation at ARIA Memorial Chapel. A masonic funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the ARIA Memorial Chapel. A committal service with military honors will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 20, 2015 at Dallas Ft Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.
