Shann Marie Anderson, 77, formerly of Maple Grove, MN went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Dec. 15, 2024, at Medical City Frisco Hospital in Texas, surrounded by family members.

She was born in Duluth, MN on June 8, 1947, to Ernest and Lois Rasmussen. She graduated from Duluth East High School in 1965. She attended the University of Minnesota-Duluth, receiving her BS degree in Education. Shann taught 3rd grade at Tanglen Elementary, Hopkins, Minnesota.

She married her beloved husband, Leslie Joseph Anderson on August 2, 1969. Then, they moved to Minneapolis, MN. They recently relocated to Frisco, TX where they attend Stonebriar Community Church. Shann lived a life full of love, kindness, and compassion. She was the heart of her family, a source of strength, wisdom, and unwavering support. She found joy in creating a warm and welcoming home for her family. She will be remembered for her tea parties and creating beautiful celebrations. She was a proud Chi Omega, and past president of PEO chapter EF. She enjoyed dance, music and art.

Shann treasured friendships and had an incredible memory for the details of a friend's life. Her generous heart, listening ear, and infectious smile brought comfort and joy to everyone she met. She had an extraordinary ability to make others feel seen, heard, and valued.

Shann was preceded in death by parents Ernest "Duce" and Lois Rasmussen; brother, Brad Lee Rasmussen.

She is survived by beloved husband Leslie Anderson; sister, Sherry Rasmussen; daughters Stacy (Gabriel) Anderson Rios and Holly (William) Anderson Gruver; grandchildren, Shaina, Shelby, Greyson Rios; Claire (Troy) Cafetzoglou, Lex, Tommy, Saili Gruver; great-grandchildren, Maximus and Georgia Cafetzoglou.

Celebration of Life Memorial Service: 11am Monday Dec. 23, 2024, at Stonebriar Funeral Home in Frisco, TX.
