While Fred enjoyed supporting his family through work and sharing stories of his travels, he also enjoyed coaching his sons elementary schools football team and cheering for his childrens and grandchildrens activities. Fred was a charter member of Park Cities Presbyterian Church, faithfully serving as a deacon, lead usher and hosting a small group Bible Study with friends. If Fred wasnt at the church or consulting, he could be found on the tennis courts at Royal Oaks Country Club, and in later years the local University Park tennis courts, sharing his love of the game with his wife, friends, daughter and grandchildren. Fred was also talented in the detailed painting of soldiers, Santa Clauses and other intricate pieces. In his last year of his life, he walked the halls of Monticello West, with his Bible, sharing the love of Jesus. He was married on Valentines Day to Peggy Weddington Skid-more for 42 years.
