On August 30, 2015, Brenda Sue Smith passed away suddenly. She was born September 8, 1955 to Ben Ringwald and the late Reba Joyce Ringwald in Independence Missouri. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Smith, her daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Valentino Ozuna, her daughter-in-law, Benita Koogler, and three grandchildren, Chris and Sierra Koogler, and Tommy Ozuna. She is also survived by her sisters and their husbands, Carol and Kyle Dupree, and Charlotte and Donnie LaRocca, and also her brother and his wife, Bennie and Beverly Ringwald, as well as her brother Dale Ringwald. She leaves behind many family members and friends who will miss her loving and caring attitude. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Shawn Koogler. Brenda loved life, her family, her friends, and her community. She was a wonderful woman, wife, mother, Grandmother and friend. Her family and friends will gather at Oak Haven United Methodist Church in Irving, Texas at 1 pm, on September 3rd for a memorial service to celebrate her life.
