Claryce Joyce Schmidt Smith entered into the arms of our Lord on July 26 at her home in Dallas, TX. Claryce was born in Springfield, Minnesota August 21, 1925. She is survived by her son, Dirk Schmidt and his wife, Karen Kent of Dallas Texas. She leaves granddaughter, Caitlen Schmidt of Sacramento, CA. and a sister, Rachael Sikich of West Allis, Wisconsin. Claryce was married to Delbert Schmidt for 39 years when he passed away in 1986. Together they enjoyed a rich life of love, golf, and their son, Dirk. They were charter members at Cameron Park Country Club. Claryce loved to dance, having attended many dinner dance occasions with Delbert. While married to Delbert, they owned Northern Cal Golf Service, a golf club repair business in Rancho Cordova where they became known to many in the golf community. Claryce was especially known for her ability to refinish golf wood clubs. Claryce also worked at JM Mac Donalds Department store for 25 years in Rancho Cordova until they closed their doors in the mid-80's. She later married William Wesley Smith where they made their home in Cameron Park, CA. where she remained until moving with Dirk and Karen to Dallas, TX after William Smith's passing. In Dallas, Claryce lived at Sunrise Assisted Living where she charmed the staff with her wit, sense of humor, and love of music and dance. She will be missed, but her spirit will always with us.
