David Andrew Sonnenmair, Jr., age 86, passed away on a quiet afternoon, surrounded by family, August 4, 2016. Dave was preceded in death by his wife of over 55 years, Gloria Cordray Sonnenmair. He is survived by his three daughters, Lee Ann Peterson (husband Rob), Jan Marie Sonnenmair, and Carol Patricia Mortimer (husband Paul). He also has five grandchildren, Stacy Hicks (husband Mack), Clifton Stamm, Austin Mortimer, Justin Mortimer, and Eli Sonnenmair, and one great granddaughter, Eloise Hicks. Dave, the only child of David and Hilda Sonnenmair, was born in Philadelphia, PA in September, 1929. He grew up Philadelphia, was an accomplished pianist as a young man, and graduated from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylannia. Dave was in sales management his entire career and retired in his mid 70s. He was loving husband, father and grandfather. Dave was an avid golfer, loved playing cards with his many friends at Canyon Creek Country Club, and betting the ponies. A family celebration of his life will be held at a later date to be determined.
