After many years, Steve was reunited with his high school love, Jessie Nell Mitcham, and married for nine years.

Steve graduated from Crozier Tech High School in Dallas and attended UTA in Arlington studying Architecture. In his early work career, he worked 20 years in engineering, construction, and design of curtain wall systems for high rise buildings. He retired after working 30 years as a catastrophe insurance adjuster all over the continental United States including two years working on the huge California earthquake.

Steve was a very charismatic and extremely talented man who loved the outdoors. He especially loved spending time on his property in Del Rio, Texas on the Rio Grande River with his brother, family and friends. He was a prolific artist and collector and leaves behind many beautiful works of artwork.

Steve's strong Christian faith carried him through his illness knowing he would one day be united with the Lord. At Steve's request, a small service will be held to celebrate his life with family and friends. The service is to be held Saturday, June 8th at 1:00 at the Aria Funeral Home, 19310 Preston Rd., Dallas, near George Bush Freeway.
