Steven (Stevie) Lopez of Corinth, Texas was born December 26, 1959, in East Chicago, Indiana. He passed away at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Plano, Texas on September 5, 2024.

Stevie was a joy to all that met him. He may have been born without the use of his legs, but that did not slow him down. What he lacked in physical ability, he made up for with his loving heart and contagious laugh. He made friends with all who crossed his path. Stevie grew up with a large family, being one of 17 children. He was an avid UNO player who loved to sit and chat with anyone who would listen. Despite his physical limitations, he won many awards in the Special Olympics wheelchair competitions and various events in his younger years. He previously worked at Trade Winds in Indiana before moving to Texas in 2003 with family. In Texas, he became an active member of the Northside Baptist Church where he would greet every member with welcoming words and a smile.

Stevie is survived by his brother Joseph (Lisa) Ramirez, with whom he lived, as well as siblings Luis (Connie) Ramirez, Carmen (Eladio) Ramirez, Georgina (Angel) Ramirez, Felix (Maria Elena) Ramirez, Mary (Israel-deceased) Ramirez, Johnny (Mary) Ramirez, Susie Ramirez, Lulu (Johnny) Perez, Tommy Ramirez, Toni (Edwin) Giboyeaux, Elaine (Oscar) Martinez and Daniel (Arcilia) Ramirez, sisters-in-law Diana Ramirez and Mary Beth (John) Herr. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Stevie is preceded in death by his parents, Geronimo and Ramona Ramirez, sister Ana Luz Ramirez, brothers Alfred Ramirez and Michael Ramirez, nephew Christopher Ramirez and girlfriend of many years, Karen Wood.

Visitation was on Tuesday, September 10th and funeral service on Wednesday, September 11th, both at Northside Baptist Church at 2000 N. Denton Rd, Carrollton, TX. He will be cremated and buried at a later date.
