Ronald James Szalay, 67, of Irving, Texas passed away on May 25, 2014. Ron was born in South Bend, Indiana to Nicholas Szalay and Mary Deranek Szalay who predeceased him. He is survived by a brother, a sister, two nephews and two nieces. After attending Indiana University, Ron worked in the oil industry in Louisiana and the hospitality and food services industry in Texas. Ron would like to be remembered for his life long interest in art, music and writing. Memorial donations can be made to the local American Cancer Society.
