Charles "Charlie" Hamilton Tarwater Sr., 87, of Dallas, TX passed away in Richardson, TX on September 1, 2014. Charlie was born in Ada, OK on September 16, 1926. He is preceded in death by his father, John Tarwater of Ada, OK, his mother, Birdie Tarwater of Ada, OK, his beloved wife Louise Tarwater of Dallas, TX, his beloved son Charles Tarwater Jr. of Dallas, TX, and his brother Roy Tarwater of Dallas, TX. Charlie was drafted into the US Navy in 1944 where he served as a fireman during WWII. Charlie returned from his tour of duty and married Louise Tarwater in Dallas in 1951. They had one child, Charles Hamilton Tarwater Jr. born in 1954. The family resided in Dallas, TX. Charlie Sr. was an avid drag racing enthusiast and enjoyed Charlie Jr.'s time as a Kart Racer during Charlie Jr.'s childhood. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who never met a stranger. He is survived by his grandson, Zach Tarwater and wife, Adria Tarwater, granddaughter Meggan Tarwater, granddaughter Clair Neill and Fianc, Evan Wilson, grandson Phillip Tarwater-Harris, and great-grandchildren Jonas and Charlie Tarwater.
