Obituary

On May 16, 2026, Terry Lynne Ingle Hardwick went home to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She passed away at the age of 72 in McKinney, Texas.

Terry was born in Joplin, Missouri, and spent her childhood years in Miami, Oklahoma. She attended Oklahoma State University before transferring to the University of Oklahoma, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature.

Terry met her husband, Michael, while they were both working for an oil company in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The two married and moved to Dallas, Texas, in 1984. Over the next 42 years, they built a life together in Plano, San Antonio, and finally McKinney, Texas, where they remained close to their children.

Terry was a devoted wife, an avid reader, a loving mother, and a dedicated Oklahoma Sooners fan. She treasured time spent with family, whether hiking in Big Bend National Park, sailing on Lake Texoma, watching her children play sports, or simply enjoying barbecue together on the back porch.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Hardwick; her children, Bethany Hardwick and Colin Hardwick; her stepdaughter, Erin Hardwick; and her two grandchildren, Owen and Charlotte.

Terry was preceded in death by her father, Jack Ingle, and her mother, Peggy McMillan.

A celebration of Terry's life will be held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to SaltBlock.org, a mission Terry and her husband faithfully supported for many years. A close family friend and pastor in Kingsville, Texas, covers all operating costs, allowing 100% of contributions to go directly toward spreading the Word of God in Uganda. Through this mission, new Christian pastors are trained and equipped with skills and resources to help meet the basic needs of families in fast-growing church communities.
