Obituary

David Eugene Tessman was born November 15 1937 in El Paso Texas. He passed away on September 16 2018 at Medical City Hospital in Arlington Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents- Alfred and Nellie Tessman, his sister Mary Ruth Kaake and his brother Alfred Frank Tessman. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Virginia Tessman, his three daughters - Judy Lynn Efaw and her husband Rob, Keli Jean Ladd and her husband Mike, Lori Kay Springer and step son Michael Langley. Six grandchildren, Parker Efaw, Jordan ladd, Alyssa Springer, Jared Springer, Anniston Springer and Allison Springer. And many family members near and far. He served our country in the United States Marine Corps for 6 years. He was an electrician for the El Paso electric company for 10 years. He worked as an electrician on locomotives for the Union Pacific Railroad in El Paso for 15 years. He moved to Grand Prairie Texas in 1987 and went to work as an electrician at DFW Medical Center until it closed and he retired in 2001. He met his soul mate Virginia in 1987 and they were married in their home they purchased together on July 27 1990. David and Virginia enjoyed traveling to many interesting places on summer vacations including Branson Missouri, trip to Las Vegas, Wyoming, Tennessee, Arkansas, Boston, New York, California, Oklahoma and many sites in Texas. David was an avid weight lifter for many years and was persistent in working out 3 times a week. He enjoyed reading books about the medical field, history, space and westerns. He loved watching movies and watched reruns of TV series from years ago like Mash, All in the Family, Gunsmoke, Bonanza and such. He loved playing dominoes and games with his extended family. David and his wife enjoyed his church family at Lakeview Baptist Church. He had many friends and enjoyed spending time with them. Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 22 2018 at 10:30 at Lakeview Baptist Church, 2401 S.E 14th St, Grand Prairie, TX.
