Theresa Ann
Feighny
Jun 12, 1950 — Jan 8, 2026
Theresa Ann Feighny (neé Willamson) passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, at the age of 75. Theresa was born on June 12, 1950, in Aberdeen, Maryland to Robert and Margaret Williamson. She was one of twelve children. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and teacher.
Theresa is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Stan. Her children, Gene (wife Meghan) and Thomas (wife Tiffany), and her cherished grandchildren, Molly Kate, Nash, Dylan, Teddy, and Max.
As a child she lived in many locations while her father served in the US Army, including Hawaii and El Paso where she graduated from Eastwood High School. She met Stan when he was stationed at Fort Bliss in El Paso in 1968. In 1969 they married and traveled the world together as newlyweds during his military service. While in the military, they lived together in Georgia, North Carolina, and Okinawa, Japan. After the Army, they went to college together in El Paso at UTEP before moving to Colorado to graduate eventually from Colorado State University. Following that, they moved to Wichita, KS, where Gene was born. Boeing sent them to England, and upon returning a few years later Thomas was born in Amarillo, TX. After a brief year in Midland, they moved to the Dallas area where they raised their boys and have lived for the past 40 years.
Theresa spent her career as an educator, and he was a dedicated Catholic school English teacher for over 25 years where she touched the lives of thousands of students. She taught at St. Anne's in Midland, Mary Immaculate in Farmer's Branch, and Prince of Peace in Plano, TX. She guided her students with patience, compassion, and a belief that every child could achieve their greatest potential. She was a master of grammar and the mechanics of writing, especially sentence diagramming, which benefited her students in school and their future careers.
Theresa enjoyed daily morning walks around the golf course with her husband and was an avid seamstress and jewelry maker. She donated many of her creations to Metrocrest Services for resale. She was known for sewing "warm bags" that brought friends and family comfort and warmth. She had great love for her sisters and brothers, with a special friendship with her sister Mona Seth, with whom she shared much closeness and laughter over the years.
Theresa was a devoted grandmother who supported her grandchildren's every milestone and accomplishment. She never missed a birthday party, school event, or religious sacrament whether it was in Dallas or on Cape Cod. She was a very active supporter in all of her grandchildren's educations and each of them benefited from her expertise as a teacher.
Theresa was a loving person with simple needs who found happiness in the little moments with her family and her friends. She lived her personal motto "See Good, Be Good, Do Good", and will be fondly remembered for the love and kindness that she showed to us all. May Theresa's love, belief in the good of others, and generosity continue to guide and inspire all who were blessed to know her. We are lucky to have this interview with her captured at StoryCorps, and this short segment really captures the things that were important to Theresa in life: Grandma Theresa – StoryCorps Archive
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Metrocrest Services (https://metrocrestservices.org/donate-today/), a cause close to Theresa's heart.
