Al Vernon Tindell was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late Harold Vernon Tindell and Betty Lou Eaton on October 31st, 1950. Al passed away on April 12, 2021 at the VA Hospital in Dallas. Al graduated from McLain High School in 1968 where he had many friends and loved sports. Baseball, football, wrestling: he did it all. He was quite the athlete. This is where Al and Virginia first met in 1967 at the McLain High School Howdy Dance. They married in 1971 and were married for 50 years. After high school Al made the choice to serve his country and joined the Army. He was assigned to the 50th Infantry Division. Al served 1 tour in Vietnam where he received many decorations including a Purple Heart, a Bronze Star with "V" Device with Oak Leaf Cluster. Al was a Senior Program Analyst for Fidelity Information systems until he retired in 2015. In 1971 Al and Virginia were blessed with their first son, Jason Bryan Tindell who married Sarah Blankenship and gifted them with 2 children, Hope Nicole Blankenship and Tyler James Bennett. In 1974 they were blessed with a second son, Justin Alan Tindell who married Ann Fisher and gifted them with two children Olive Luciana and Oscar Sterling Tindell. Al took great joy in his grandchildren and loved being a papa. Al also left behind nieces and nephews Kimberly Ann Booth (Aaron), Emma Grace Booth,Stephanie Renee Rogers, Summer Hanley (Chris), Caleb and Jake Hanley, April Williams, Angel Williams, Eric Williams, Nicholas Bridges (Shanon), Connor Bridges, Jackson Bridges, Rylie Bridges, Tanner Bridges, Ashley Fernandez (Michaell), Michelle Bridges, Alex Fernandez, Alvin Earl Eaton, Kay Estes (Carl) and his sisters Billie Jo Bridges (Mike) and Pamela Sue Tindell. As well as in laws Louise Rogers (Ron), Ray Williams (Kim), and Richard Williams. Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
