Ronald Earl Trivits

October 9, 1938 - May 27, 2016 Ron Trivits, age 77, passed away in his home in Lewisville, Texas early Friday morning while alongside his wife Carol. Known as "Pop Pop" by his grandchildren, he was the youngest of four children to Eleanor & George Trivits born in Wilmington, Delaware. Ron is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, George Trivits. He is survived by wife Carol, daughters Terry Vernon & Cindy Segovia, grandchildren Brandon & Connor Vernon, Nick and Rachael Segovia, sons-in-law Paul Vernon & Art Segovia, brother Robert Trivits and wife Doris, sister Joann Morowski and husband Les, as well as numerous nieces & nephews. Ron grew up in Stanton where he graduated from Henry C. Conrad High School and attended the University of Delaware. He retired at the age of 52 from DuPont. He lived in various places throughout the Dallas area from 1976 until his passing. Ron could be found at his happiest, and best, beside his wife, raising his daughters, and supporting his grandchildren. His love for people, including complete strangers, could only be trumped by the love he shared with his family. Even in his final hours, he was a light in the darkest of situations, never letting his sense of humor or contagious energy fade. A celebration of life will be held at the home of Paul & Terry Vernon at 4564 Turnberry Ct Plano, TX 75024 on Sunday, June 5th from 2:00-5:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at Marshallton United Methodist Church, located at 1105 Stanton Rd in Wilmington, DE 19808 Saturday June 11 at 1:00 PM. Should friends desire, a contribution may be made to Marshallton United Methodist Church. He will be loved, he will be missed, and he will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace.
