Willard "Will" Turnage passed away Friday, November 4, 2016, after a brief illness. Will was born March 7, 1942 in Monroe, Louisiana. He was a 1960 graduate of Neville High School, and 1970 graduate of University of Louisiana at Monroe. During the 1960s and 1970s, Will was a professional drummer, playing with Billy Ledbetter and several house bands. Will eventually left music in the early 1970s to raise a family, and began a career in medical administration. He served as the practice administrator for the North Louisiana Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Clinic from 1976 until 1986. Will's career took him throughout the southeast, where he served as practice administrator for medical groups in Tallahassee, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia; Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Will retired in 2010 to Plano, Texas, to be closer to his children. Survivors include Ashley Easley, (daughter), Jay Turnage (son) and wife, Dr. Maria Turnage; Alice Pearson (sister), Kaye Cloessner (sister), and two grandsons, Jared and Ethan Carlino. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, November 8, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Plano, Texas.
