Celebrating the life of Verna Manuela Patnett

February 13, 1957 - March 30, 2026

Verna M. Patnett was born on February 13, 1956 in a small country named Belize. She later moved to the United States in 1997. Verna is the beloved daughter of Isolene Smith nee Patnett and Sigmond Patnett.

From an early age, Verna was known for a kind spirit, a strong sense of responsibility, a hard loving worker, and a deep love for family. These qualities remained constant throughout a life rooted in faith, service, and quiet strength.

Verna was always dedicated to working but took pride in showing up for others in meaningful ways. Whether through work, volunteer efforts, or simple acts of kindness, she always offered support without expectations.

Verna was influenced by her family to be a loving and caring woman, always giving her time to others. As a mother, she was generous, loving, supportive and kind. She spoiled her children as much as she possibly could. In her free time Verna loved shopping, taking long walks, eating out with family and friends, and outside adventures.

Above all, Verna treasured time spent with family and close friends. She always found joy in everyday moments- whether it's shared meals, laughter, traditions, or conversations that brought people together. These moments became the foundation of cherished memories that will be held close for years to come.

Verna will be greatly missed by her family, especially her children and grandchildren who adore her dearly.

Verna is survived by her 6 daughters, 5 sons, 32 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, and 1 sister.

Verna is now reunited in heaven with her mother Isolene Smith nee Patnett, father Sigmond Patnett, brother Karl Patnett, and oldest grandchild Errol Gomez.

We know that we can't have you, but we're happy knowing that the angels have finally got you back. Farewell to a wonderful woman, a beautiful mother, sister, aunt, grandma, and friend. We will continue to honor your legacy through love, faith, and dedication to one another.

In keeping her wishes, Verna was cremated and her ashes will return to Belize where a celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Best,

Anika Obodozie
