On March 29th, 1950 George was born in Silt, Colorado to Pacomio and Adelina Vigil. He was the youngest boy of nine children and beloved by his brothers and sisters. With a flair for the creative, he was an artist, a chef and had a playful way with words.
He was a sweet and gentle spirit, who always appreciated a good and especially a bad joke. He never had a mundane greeting for anyone, but more of a mini celebration at their presence.
He was an electrical repair man on the USSR Cleveland in the Navy, a chef and a master craftsman for over 40 years. He was highly sought after for his skills in anything having to do with construction. For him, his love for all endeavors could be found in the details of a wood carving, the flavoring of a good stew or the crown molding of a house.
With his first wife Kathy, he had his first son, David before meeting his second wife, Kathleen and her eldest daughter Carla. They added Megan, George II and Carmen to the mix and in 1997 they adopted Gabby who quickly became Georges best friend for rest of his life.
His children and grandchildren were equals and he always dealt with them on their level. He played on the ground with them when they were babies, sat at the table with them while he helped with their homework and stood by their sides through their joys and struggles as they grew up. His love for all of his family members withstood disagreements, misunderstandings, geography and time; because of that, he was the ultimate grandpa, father, brother, uncle and in-law to every family unit he was apart of.
The love that he had for God was obvious through his kindness and diligence in his personal practice. Even though his passion for life was evident in the way he held on and fought against his illness, the peace about where he was going could be seen as he drifted off towards home. To him, with all of the love in our hearts; keep it cool, dont be a fool. Arrangements are under the direction of: Aria Cremation Service & Funeral Home 1820 N. Belt Line Road Irving, Texas 75061
