Pat was born September 2, 1939 and departed this life on Aug. 26, 2021 after a long illness. She was predeceased by her parents, David and Dorothy Bywaters. Her early childhood was spent on the Bywaters Ranch outside of Hamilton, Texas. After her parents sold the ranch in 1948, they moved to Paris, Texas. In 1950, the family moved to Dallas and became members of the St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. Pat was active in the choir and was the first female to letter on the mens softball team. Pat attended Hockaday School and graduated from Highland Park High School in 1957. She went to Sweet Briar College her freshman year and the next year transferred to SMU. A talented linguist, she spoke several romance languages and was fluent in French. She was also an accomplished pianist. In 1958, she was an Idlewild debutante and in 1959 married Paul Waller. They lived in many beautiful places. As a talented artist, she painted these scenes with oil and pastels. While living in California, Pat was also a medical book illustrator for Lange Publishing. After divorcing, Pat moved back to Dallas in 1986 and worked at Bank of America as an Administrative Assistant. Retiring in 2001, Pat was active in multiple activities with St. Michaels church, especially the Prime Timers. Pat is survived by her three brothers, David, Ban (Kathleen), and Bill (Kay); nieces and their spouses, Melinda Downey (David), Catherine Kivlan (John), Natalie Lee (Brian) and nephews Trey Bywaters (Allie) and Branson Bywaters. The family would like to thank everyone at Sunrise at Hillcrest and Care Plus Hospice for Pats care. Pam Barbera was also a very special friend to Pat. A Celebration of Life will be held in the chapel at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 9, 2021.
