Mark was born on May 7th, 1929 in New Straitsville, OH to Mark Orion and Louise Johnson White. He passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family on March 3rd, 2015 in Dallas TX. Raised in Cambridge OH, Mark graduated from Cambridge High School, where he excelled at sports and academics. There he met his future wife, Beverly and made many lifelong friends. Mark and Bev returned for every class reunion. Mark graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. After serving in the Navy, Mark had a successful 31 year career with Sun Oil Company, in Beaumont, Philadelphia, and Dallas. After retirement Mark realized his dream of starting an apple orchard in Kentucky operating it with his son Tom. They spent many years working together on the farm. Married to Beverly Ann Casey for 62 years, he spent the last five years caring for her with gentle devotion and complete dedication as she struggled with Alzheimer's disease, and she passed away last August, she was his world. Mark is survived by his brother David O. White and wife Jan, his sister Nancy Ryall and husband Bill, son David and wife Lisa, daughter Ann Mitchakes and husband Aris with their children Alex and Alayna, and son Tom and wife Kim with their children Gene and Julie McDonald. A reception in his honor will be held at the Dallas Athletic Club on March 8, at 4:00 PM, where he had been a member since 1969, enjoying great golf and fellowship.
