Obituary

In Loving Memory

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of William "Bill" Bryant Kassul, who departed this life on December 11, 2025, at the age of 85. Surrounded by family he left behind a legacy of love, kindness, laughter and cherished memories that will remain in our hearts forever.

Born on September 18, 1940, in Spring Valley, IL, Bill grew up as an only child in Rochelle where he helped his father run the local movie theater and then both his parents as they started an upscale women's apparel store, The Personality Shoppe. He was quarterback for the Rochelle Hub football team and made many life-long friends which he stayed in contact with throughout his life. Bill attended the University of Miami, FL where he received a degree in business-marketing in 1962, but more importantly, he met his wife, Pat. Bill and Pat moved back to Rochelle where they ran the Personality Shoppe for close to 40 years. Bill also served on the Rochelle City Council for many years. In 1997 they retired and moved to Scottsdale, AZ where they enjoyed golfing, hiking, hosting grandkids and making even more lifelong friends. In 2021 they moved to Dallas, TX to be closer to family. Throughout the years in Rochelle, Scottsdale and Dallas, Bill was known for his constant smile, generous spirit and love of his wife and family.

Bill is survived by his wife of 64 years, Patricia Kassul, along with their three children Debi Kassul and fiancé Tim Camponeschi, Bill and Beth Kassul and their children Jenna, Cara and Cole, and Tim Kassul and his fiancé Lysette Aguon and her son Ethan. Bill will also be missed by his extended "Dugan" family and many, many friends, all who will continue to honor his memory. Bill was preceded in death by his parents William "Lindy" and Angie Kassul.

A memorial mass and celebration of Bill's life will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 10:00am at Saint Marks the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plano, TX (1201 Alma Drive, Plano, TX 75075). Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and pay their respects.

Though Bill, Dad and Paka may no longer walk beside all of us, his love, laughter and legacy live on in all who were blessed to know him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
