Obituary

Bill Newkirk, 72, a retired accountant and proud Texan, passed away on February 7, 2025. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 29, at 2 p.m. in Austin, Texas.

Bill was born on October 9, 1952, in Midland, Texas, where he formed lifelong friendships while attending St. Anne's Catholic School. He later studied Business at the University of Texas at Austin, launching a successful career in Houston before eventually settling in Dallas. There, he raised his three sons—Paul, Michael, and Thomas.

Bill had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and could often be found tending to trees and enjoying nature. He cherished playing catch with his sons and never missed a chance to watch them on the baseball field. Though a true Texan at heart—known for his love of a perfectly grilled steak—he even grew to appreciate hockey over the years.

He is survived by his sons, Paul, Michael, and Thomas; his sisters, Barbara and Nancy; and many dear friends and extended family who will miss him greatly.

Bill will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on in the countless memories shared by those who knew him.

Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
