Bill Prickett Obituary
Bill Prickett, 72, of Irving, Tx passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.
Born March 25, 1953, in Birmingham, AL, at Carraway Methodist Hospital, Bill was the son of the late Betty and Bobby Prickett. He graduated from Woodlawn High school in 1971, Sanford University in 1976 with a B.A. in Religious Studies concentration in communication and public speaking with an emphasis on biblical languages and a double minor in English and Psychology. He then graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a graduate degree in training including biblical studies Hebrew and communication.
He found joy in writing, public speaking, traveling, and spending time with family. He had a deep love of writing and was a published author of 6 novels which can be found at https://www.billprickett.com. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend who will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his husband of 28 years, Bill Thiele; his sister Cindy Linder, brother-in-law Wayne Linder, Sister-in-law and her husband Eddie and Jaye McKinney, his children, Jason Prickett, Lori Prickett Jones, granddaughter Bevyn Maple Jones, and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
