Services for Zhongmei Xue, age 52, of Plano, Texas will be held from 3:00 - 6:00 P.M., Saturday, May 2, 2015 at ARIA Memorial Chapel. Zhongmei Xue, who also went by Mei or Ming, was born on July 31, 1962 as the eldest to three siblings and as the favorite of her grandparents. She raised two sons. Peter Tong, born in 1988, earned his B.S.E.E. degree from UT Dallas in 2010 and a J.D. from the University Of Texas School Of Law in 2014. He now works at Knobbe Martens LLP in California. William Tong, born in 2000, now attends Jasper High School. Creative and competitive, Zhongmei frequently ranked first in her class from elementary through high school. Upon starting her teaching career at Shandong Middle School, she received a promotion to homeroom leader and became the favorite teacher of the over 400 students whom she taught from 6th through 8th grade. She transferred to Shandong Agricultural High School and taught for another 8 years until she departed for America in 1991. Knowing little English, Zhongmei labored for whoever would hire her, at times below minimum wage. To provide a better future, she studied hard to master English, passed the TOEFL, and earned a scholarship to Texas Tech University. She realized her dream in 1998 when she graduated with a Master's Degree in Computer Science and moving Dallas to work as a computer programmer. She bought a house in Plano in 2000 to raise her children and to call home for the rest of her life. Her hard work exhausted her. She first fell ill to cancer in 2004, but God granted her nearly 10 more years to pour her love into raising William. In late 2013, she was diagnosed with cancer again. After fighting with her best effort, God finally relieved her of all worldly pains. She died April 24, 2015 under the care of her family, her friends, her church, and her Father God Almighty.
